This is an incredible example of what people can do when they get together and fight for a good cause. Six (6) years of protesting the Contra Costa jails to end its collaboration with ICE. There are the real emotions and stories when immigrant family are reunited. Really impressive work. To read more check out this story. If you look at the timeline look at all the “tiny” victories along the way. This is real organizing. Throw the power points in the trash and get out there and do something!

It is a shame we have an LA County Sheriff in Jim McDonnell who does not just collaborate with ICE, he visits the White House and hangs out with Attorney General Jeff Sessions. That is why groups like NDLON, the ACLU and #IceOutOfLA have been going after Sheriff McDeporter for years.
